Victory Church started with a passion to see the Gospel saturate Wales. The purpose was to start a church in Cwmbran and to expand from there into the rest of Wales and the Valleys. God spoke clearly to Pastor Richard and gave him a mission to preach the Gospel and teach the bible that would result in transformed lives.
In the beginning, Victory Church consisted of former addicts and ex-offenders including Pastor Richard and his family and worshipped in an old Welsh chapel. They planted the church in January 2010 and almost immediately hit the ground running. Meetings took place on Saturday nights with 50 people in attendance. Slowly but surely, the Victory family began to grow and we moved into a sports centre and saw 150 attend the meetings.
Things changed in April 2010, as Victory Church rented and converted a disused industrial unit. In a matter of months the team transformed the building into a modern facility housing the church and all its ministries. Barely a year on and the church was already seeing many coming to faith in Christ and being baptised. The opening weekend was held in September 2010 and saw over 650 in attendance.
Today, hundreds upon hundreds of people of all ages gather each weekend to worship Jesus at Victory Church across our multiple campuses. Victory Academy was launched in 2011 to train future leaders and church planters. Victory Church encourages its congregation to be the church among their friends, family, neighbours and co-workers. We are a church that is passionate for the Saviour, have a deep love for scripture and are intentional about rescuing the sinner.
Victory is an Elim Pentecostal Church.
